Tamworth Tap wins National Pub of the Year 2023

Monday 22 January 2024

The Tamworth Tap in Tamworth, Staffordshire, has been crowned CAMRA's National Pub of the Year 2023, the second year in a row it has received the accolade. The pub has Tudor features and a historic courtyard terrace, offers views of Tamworth Castle and has eight handpulled real ales including at least one from its own on-site microbrewery. Judges described the pub as an "excellent example of a pub at the centre of its community that supports a wide variety of diverse local activity groups". Husband and wife team and owners of the Tamworth Tap, George and Louise Greenaway thanked CAMRA and their team at the pub, adding words "couldn't express how they felt". (MORNING ADVERTISER)
